    Revenue KPIs

    • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR): The North Star for SaaS companies
    • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): How much a customer is worth over the entire relationship
    • Revenue per Channel: Which channel delivers the highest ROI

    Efficiency KPIs

    • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): What it costs to acquire a customer
    • CAC Payback Period: How long it takes to recoup acquisition costs
    • Marketing Efficiency Ratio: Revenue divided by marketing spend

    Engagement KPIs

    • Activation Rate: How many users reach the aha moment
    • Net Promoter Score (NPS): How likely a recommendation is
    • Churn Rate: How many customers leave

    Building a Meaningful Dashboard

    A good dashboard has a maximum of 7–10 KPIs. Anything above creates noise instead of clarity. Group KPIs into three levels: strategic, tactical, and operational.
